Rodrigo Landa-Romero (known artistically as Ro) is a 19-year-old Mexican global performer, composer, concert pianist, philanthropist, and internationally recognized fashion model, whose artistry and visual presence have captivated audiences across four continents.
With over 70 prestigious international music awards—including the Annual Grand Champion Prize + Pianist of the Year at the European Classical Music Awards, UK; First Prize at the Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition at Carnegie Hall, New York City; Platinum Prize + Outstanding Technique Special Prize in the World Artistry Music Award, London, UK; Absolute First Prize + Excellent Interpretation Special Award at the World Master Open Music Competition, UK; the Absolute First Prize at the Gabriel Fauré Music World Competition, France; First Prize at the Dubai Promusic Competition, Dubai; recognition as one of the World’s Top 100 Child Prodigies 2022 at the Global Child Prodigy Awards, Dubai; Gold Prize + Poetic Artistic Musical Genius at the Global Genius Music Competition, UK; and induction into the Global Genius Hall of Fame, just to name a few—Ro stands among the most decorated young artists of his generation.

Ro’s original compositions are participating at the 2026 GRAMMYs—a distinction reserved for a select group of works admitted into this prestigious event. He is a GRAMMY GO Certificate Awardee, a GRAMMY U member, a booster of the Taylor Swift Education Center, and a recognized member of the Alink-Argerich Foundation, the Royal Philharmonic Society (UK), the American Society of Musical Excellence, the Juilliard School Association Program, the Music Diffusion Ambassador Program, and the Hollywood Creative Alliance.
Ro’s performance résumé as a concert pianist and composer includes four appearances at Carnegie Hall. Each featured his original compositions, presented at ages 13, 16, and 18, making him one of the youngest composers to command its stage with such frequency and distinction. These were complemented by appearances at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, the Yehudi Menuhin Hall in London, and other world-class venues across the globe.
Ro’s accolades span 23 cities, including Paris, London, Vienna, Salzburg, Prague, Bonn, Düsseldorf, Milan, Catania, Brussels, Warsaw, Oslo, Stockholm, Helsinki, Amsterdam, Dubai, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Vancouver, NYC, LA, San Francisco, and Mexico City. Ro’s ascent in the fashion world has been as striking as his musical rise. Among the distinctions that have shaped his presence in the field, the most prestigious came in 2025, when Hollywood and Broadway Entertainment Enterprises—one of the world’s elite talent agencies—formally honored him with the title of Top Model of the Year, “a recognition granted through an exacting and highly selective process, reserved for artists whose editorial impact and visual storytelling reflect the highest standards of the modeling industry.” Following this distinction, Ro joined the roster of this world‑class agency, where he has remained ever since.
Ro transcended the role of model to become a force in fashion, founding one of the most exclusive luxury brands in the world today: Ro Mythic — now rivaling Hermès, Gucci, and Montblanc. Its debut was a complete phenomenon: every single product waitlisted, an entire collection sold out, and its handbags—priced between $1,400 and $8,800 USD—coveted as the ultimate symbols of prestige. In a world where few rise beyond the runway, Ro stands as a figure whose presence is redefining the boundaries of the modeling industry.
Ro’s academic training spans ten of the world’s top universities and institutions: Harvard, Berklee, Juilliard, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, the London School of International Business, the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, Le Cordon Bleu, and MIT. His studies include piano, composition, conducting, leadership, musical analysis, law, writing, modeling, acting, marketing, enology, and history, among others.
At Harvard, he completed the Classical Works Program with Thomas F. Kelly (A average) and the Leadership and Communication Program with Ronald Heifetz (A average); at Berklee, the Music Industry Essentials Program with John P. Ro’s piano technique heritage descends directly from the legendary Claudio Arrau, in a lineage running unbroken through Beethoven, Czerny, Liszt, and Krause — one of the most exalted traditions in piano history. Through his mentor Raúl de la Mora, Ro carries this rare legacy forward, making him among the few pianists recognized for achieving Arrau’s signature warm and round sound. Practicing on a 120‑year‑old Steinway grand piano, with over 51,000 hours of performance and composition logged, Ro embodies a living continuation of this extraordinary heritage.
Ro is the Founder, President & CEO of Rodrigo Landa-Romero Productions, Rodrigo Landa-Romero International Film & Music Academy, the Rodrigo Landa-Romero International Composition Competition (with participants from over 40 countries), and Ro Mythic. He has served as a jury member for international composition competitions in Europe, including the Amor Artium International Music Composition Competition (Oslo, Norway). He also created a 50-minute soundtrack for the BBC documentary The Mountains and is currently composing a Broadway-bound musical.
He is the youngest music artist in Mexico (population 130 million) to win the most international music awards by age 17, compose a full-length symphony at age 13, create his own international composition competition at age 13, found a music and film academy at age 15, launch a production company at age 15, complete studies at Harvard, Berklee, Juilliard, Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, the London School of International Business, Le Cordon Bleu, the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute, and MIT by age 19, and launch his own elite luxury brand at age 19.
